Previous Performances

Recently, Steven has performed as Rev. David Marshall Lee in Larry Shue's The Foreigner with guest director, Michael Perreca.  He had a great experience and enjoyed working on the classic comedy with a very talented cast.

This summer Steven played Roger in the Tony Award-Winning musical Rent with the Crimson Creek Players.  He felt very fortunate to work on this iconic production, especially after being a Rent-head for many years.

Prior to Rent, Steven was extremely fortunate and portrayed Odysseus in the world premiere of Tom Isbell's The Odyssey, which was a musical adaptation of Homer's epic tale.  Steven worked closely with the playwright (while he rewrote the script many times) and even associated directly with French composer/conductor Louis Dunoyer de Saygonzac, who flew in from Paris to work on the show.

Additionally, while studying at UMD, Steven had the incredible opportunity to perform abroad in Istanbul, Turkey.  He and a cast of half American/half Turkish students presented the musical Footloose at the Caddebostan Kültür Merkezi.  It was the first fully produced musical in Istanbul, and has continued to influence the musical theatre scene there.

Steven has been seen in multiple shows at UMD including South Pacific (Lt. Cable), Is He Dead? (Bastien Andre), Sugar (Ensemble/Knuckles [US Osgood]), Wonderful World (Barry), and Seussical (Wickersham Brother #1).

He has also performed with Renegade Theatre Company in Parade (Frankie Epps), and the Summer Performing Arts Company in Les Miserables (Marius), The Music Man (Prof. Harold Hill), and The Pirates of Penzance (Policeman/Pirate).

Steven performs live for various events and enjoys trying his hand in many different fields of theatre including directing, stage craft, design, light/sound operator, choreography, and stage combat.
